Terms and Conditions for Therapy Practice

These Terms and Conditions govern the provision of therapeutic services by Paths to Well-being, and outline the expectations, rights, and responsibilities of both the therapist and the client. By engaging in therapy with Paths to Well-being you agree to the following terms.

1. Confidentiality
All sessions and information shared within them are confidential. I will not disclose any personal information without your explicit consent, except in the following circumstances:
   •    Where there is a legal obligation to disclose, such as in cases of imminent harm to self or others, child protection issues, or court orders.
   •    For supervision purposes, where I may discuss general details with a professional supervisor to ensure the highest quality of care, while maintaining anonymity.

2. Cancellation Policy
Appointments must be rescheduled at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled time. Cancellations made within 24 hours of the session or missed appointments are fully payable at the agreed session rate. This policy is in place due to the difficulty in filling last-minute cancellations. Unfortunately, I do not offer refunds for sessions that were already paid.

3. Fees and Payment
The fee per session is €150 (50 minutes). The first session is paid in full (initial consultation) before the time of the session. Subsequent sessions can be bough as a package of minimum of 6 sessions (€900 per 6-session package) and paid before the first session from the package. Payment methods include PayPal or bank transfer. Failure to make timely payments may result in the suspension of therapy services until payment is received. Payments are non-refundable.

4. Therapy Process
Therapy is a collaborative process. The length and outcome of therapy depend on various factors, including the nature of the issues addressed, the client’s level of engagement, and external circumstances. While I aim to provide guidance and support, I do not guarantee specific results.

5. Client Responsibilities
You are responsible for attending sessions on time and completing any tasks or reflections agreed upon during therapy. Consistent attendance is important for therapeutic progress. If you arrive late, the session will still end at the scheduled time, and the full fee will be charged.

6. Therapist Responsibilities
I am committed to providing a professional and supportive environment. I will respect your confidentiality, provide relevant insights, and ensure a safe space for self-exploration. If at any time I believe another professional would be more suited to help you, I will discuss this with you and provide appropriate referrals.

7. Termination of Therapy
Either party may terminate therapy at any time. I encourage clients to discuss termination in advance so that it can be done in a way that supports closure and progress. In some circumstances, I may suggest pausing or ending therapy if I believe it is no longer beneficial or if there is a conflict of interest.

8. Crisis Situations
My practice is not designed to offer emergency mental health support. In case of a crisis or if you feel you are in immediate danger, please contact emergency services or visit your nearest hospital.

9. Complaints and Disputes
If you are unhappy with any aspect of the service provided, I encourage you to bring it up so we can address it together. Formal complaints can be directed in writing to agnieszka@pathstowellbeing.nl

10. Limitation of Liability
While I am committed to providing high-quality therapeutic care, I cannot be held liable for any decisions or actions you take as a result of the therapeutic process. Therapy is a space for exploration and growth, but outcomes are the client’s responsibility.

11. Changes to Terms
I reserve the right to update these Terms and Conditions as necessary. Clients will be informed of any significant changes in advance.

By engaging in therapy with Paths to Well-being, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and Conditions.
